2014
After participating in the planning of GVH Osaka (opened in 2010), Hankyu Corporation used that experience to open GVH#5 in November 2014, with the aim of further accelerating support for entrepreneurial activity in the Kansai region.
2015
In March 2013, Hankyu Hanshin Properties Corp. established this fund specializing in seed stage startups, which helps to provide a financial boost to startups that have just been founded.
2016
In February 2016, Hankyu Corporation established a fund to support recently-founded local companies, in collaboration with Ikeda Senshu Bank, Ltd., Nankai Electric Railway Co., Ltd., and Senshu Ikeda Capital Co., Ltd.
2018
In April 2018, the co-working space floor was moved from the 11th floor to the 2nd floor in the same building, doubling the floorspace. In addition to the co-working space, seminar and meeting rooms were expanded, and a project space was constructed.
In August 2018, Hankyu Hanshin Properties Corp. also endorses the "The Declaration of Startup Friendly Kansai" declared by the Kansai Association of Corporate Executives with the goal of collaborating with startup companies.
・In September 2018, after moving the coworking space to the 11th floor of the same building, the space was expanded to include private offices.
・Expansion of member capacity: With the improvement of equipment installed, and the expansion, our membership capacity roughly doubled.
Hankyu Hanshin Properties Corp. became a partner organization in this program, promoting open innovation in the real estate field.
In November 2018, Hankyu Hanshin Properties Corp. and Osaka Prefecture signed a cooperation agreement to promote the construction of a venture ecosystem.
2019
In August 2018, Hankyu Hanshin Properties Corp. created a new corporate venture capital fund, the "HHP Joint Development Fund 1 Investment Project Limited Liability Association" to accelerate joint development with startups.
・We expanded our space to include the approximately 60 person capacity seminar room in the Higashi-Hankyu Building next door.
・Geared towards startups across the world, GVH#5 was the venue for Startupbootcamp Scale Osaka, a program to promote the growth of the Japanese market and gather together up-and-coming international startups.
・Hankyu Hanshin Properties Corp. is also one of the program’s partner companies, and promotes its proven experience and cooperative abilities and resources to startups overseas.
